Why prep matters on Florida slabs
Nearly every home we work on sits on a concrete slab. A floor is only as good as what is under it, so we flatten and patch the slab, address moisture where needed, and lay out rooms so plank direction and tile lines make sense from the entry through the main living areas. Transitions between rooms—and to existing tile that stays—get planned before the first box is opened, not improvised at the doorway. That is the difference between a floor that looks installed and one that looks poured into place.
